Send files via Wetransfer

WeTransfer enables you to upload files in total capacity up to 2 GB and then send them to your friends or people you choose.

Records remain active for one week from the upload date and will then be automatically deleted.

Send large files up to 2 GB via WeTransfer for free

First, go to www.wetransfer.com.

If this is the first time you have entered WeTransfer or if you have cleared your browser cookies, then you will need to agree to the terms of use and then choose to use the free version.

You will then see the box through which you can choose which files to send and to which people.
At this point you can choose whether to send your files via email or via the download link that
you can share via messages on social networks, etc.
To do this, tap on the button with the three dots and choose between the email or link options.

Send files via WeTransfer as email

This is the default setting. Proceed with the following steps based on the available options.

Add your files – Click here to select which files to send. You can select one or more files (from different folders), without having to combine them into a .zip or .rar file first. The only limitation is that their total size does not exceed 2 GB.

Email to – Enter the email addresses of the people who will receive the files you are about to send. You can leave the field blank or enter up to 20 email addresses

Your email – Here, enter your own email address so that the corresponding email with the link to download the files will be sent to you. Also, your email address will appear in the email recipients address.

 Message – Type the message that will be shown to people who will receive the download link, you can write whatever you want or leave the field blank.

After completing this short process, click on the Transfer button to start the process of sending (uploading) the files to WeTransfer. Once you press the button, a verification code will be sent to your email, you should add it to the field that asks for it and the process of sending the files will begin.
Mission completion percentage will be displayed so you know where you are and how much time is left.
You will need to keep the tab open for the process to continue.
Finally, when the message Transfer complete appears, the sending of the files will be complete and you can close the tab.
Immediately afterwards, you will receive a new email from WeTransfer with the relevant information such as the download link, the date the files were deleted and the recipients you selected.

Send files via WeTransfer as a link

Here, the process is simpler and faster. After activating the email option of the Send as field that we saw above, you can immediately proceed to send the files through the Add your files option and by pressing the Transfer button.
